What was my life like before pinterest? It may seem silly to some, but pinterest has been so inspiring for me. I've seen some funny, silly blogs that highlight failed pinterest attempts, but my blog is intended to show all the little ways in which pinterest has made me more creative and engaged in making a home.

My husband and I bought our first home about 3 years ago. This event naturally brought out some nesting behaviors in both of us. We have painted almost every room in our house now. But when I found pinterest, I was instantly addicted and inspired. There are pinteresting touches throughout our home now. I wanted to start a blog to share with others, but also in an attempt to chronicle our homemaking journey.

My mother is an artist and is naturally creative and an amazing diy-er. But I was always content to let her do things for me. She wanted so badly for me to engage in learning different arts and crafts, but I wasn't interested. I always had an internal dialogue of "I"m not talented." Something about reading all the blogs on pinterest made me interested in giving some of this stuff a try. So, it was thrilling to her for me to finally say the words, "I want you to teach me how to sew." Timing can be so ironic sometimes. When I finally decided to become the grasshopper and learn these skills, my mom had moved half way across the country. But mom came home for Christmas last year, and in what we have now dubbed "the sweat shop session", we made countless pinterest projects. I will do my best to find photos of those early projects and post them. We were exhausted by the end of the week, but I was hooked.

So I plan to chronicle all my projects here. I will probably also share and journal other interests such as music (my husband and I are music junkies), yoga, tattoos, or quotes and inspiration.

I hope this blog can inspire some others to drop their stories of "I can't....." and just give something that inspires you a shot. You just might find....

This is ONE PINTERESTING LIFE!
